I have a blade from a Swedish Pallasch for cavalry m/1778. It has a massive blade, measuring 99,5 cm, double edged with a high ridge across the whole blade.
Some of these were made in Sweden but the majority (according to book sources)were made in Solingen. Because you rarely see a blade without its hilt, it could be interesting to find out if someone here on this forum could identify the makers mark on the tang.
It looks like a "horse head" and there are also some letters, partly covered in rust. I attach some pictures and hope that someone will be able to tell me if its Solingen or something else.
